Default Backup light socket bad

96 Ram 1500, 5.9, one of my backup light sockets is bad, have 12v at the terminals, socket was corroded up, not finding any replacement in Dorman/Standard, looked up some old threads, maybe a trip to the bonreyard is in store, are sockets from old Durangos/Grand Wagoneers interchangeable?

Take the old one with you, and compare it to any potential donors...... Have you tried LMC Truck? They *might* have 'em.

When you do get another light socket, coat it with dielectric tune up grease to prevent corrosion.

I did find them at LMC...

94-02 P/N 56-6514 P. 51 in catalog

CARQUEST has "generic" 3156/57 sockets in case ya had to do a redneck-style graft. Dealer said NLA, no cross-reference with any other Mopar products

Standard operating procedure, I use Noalox, which is a conductive grease.
