I just dont get PGH's hatred toward Tebow. I am A LSU fan, I have at least earned the right to detest Tebow, having to watch him against my team every season for the last three. But instead of ill will towards the man I have developed a grudging respect for him as a person and a player. There will always be those who spread hate and discontent. If that makes them happy, so be it. How can one deny the talent that is right in front of ones face?

Tebow is a helluva player, but with all the prolific talent around him, he's not even close to being the main reason they're in NC game. Texas or Texas Tech would be NOWHERE without the play of their quarterbacks. Florida would be there with or without Tebow. If you want proof for that statement, look at 2006 when Florida did the exact same thing with Chris Leak and QB and Tebow as their short yardage specialist.

That about sums up the sentiment of the midwest regarding Tebow...however I agree with you that he is begrudged in envy. I don't "hate" the guy, I just hate the rhetoric on all the sports channels talking about how he can do a 4.2 40 ON WATER!!!

Again, he was definitely a stud in the NC game. He definitely showed the will to win, which is part of the formula of a great team.

I wish I had the MUTE button sometimes, like on Around the Horn.

The Gators would be no where without Tim Tebow. Many times he's put the game on his shoulders and carried the team, when others around him had injuries or just weren't producing. Especially in the national championship against your Sooners. Do you not remember the last two drives. Tebow just starting running and running and then would make a clutch 3rd down throw here and there. He deserved the MVP award for a reason. With another QB, the Gators would have been successful; but national champions? I don't think so.

In 2006, the Gators were successful because of their DEFENSE. The defense was top notch and Chris Leak and the offense made little mistakes. Almost like Bucs ball. However, they did have playmakers Harvin, Caldwell, Baker abd Ingram who made Leak look good.

Leak just doesn't have the size to be an NFL QB. He tried out for Chicago and didn't make it. Then was the spokesperson the AAFL (not that you know what that is) and is now lookin' at the CFL. Also, Chris Leak is a national champion and Bradford is not. MUTE

Right, even though i said he is a great college player, and a great college QB, would love to have him on my college team as the QB, and my team couldn't beat Florida, picked them to win the national championship with him as the leader, etc, i'm a "hater" and "jealous" for pointing out he doesn't have the tools to be a good pro QB.

This is why i avoid conversations with fans who never attended the school they root for...they seem to make up for the inadequacy with their "Super Homer" behavior...

You notice you have 50% of the posts in this forum this week? We get it, Florida won. Should i be posting 50 threads about how Pitt is the best in bball now and Florida (and the entire SEC) is a joke? Should i be telling you how all our players will be the best in the NBA if they win the championship this year, even if thats the furthest from the truth? All your insufferable posts are doing are proving your knowledge of sports leaves something to be desired...even if you are the super gator homer of the decade.

Come back and post in 3 years how great Tebow is doing...until then, its basketball season. We've had enough of your posts repeating the same things in increasingly mediocre ways..."i can haz maturity and intelligence" or whatever...

FACT: 50% of the first dozen posts in this forum were started by Midnight and reference Florida as of the moment i write this...

I'm 10 times more of a fan of the Gators than you'll ever be of the school you attended.

I'm not going around posting how Florida is the best. Still making stuff up PGH? First of all, the many posts are between me and Wishbone. He keeps saying **** and I keep saying stuff back. He said crap about Tebow and Florida not being number one, so I stated my argument, IN FAVOR of Utah AND Florida. He's doing a little trash talk, I'm saying stuff back. I'm the most active person in this section and I try and keep it going. You'll notice 7 of the 11 topics I started are NOT about the Gators. Keep puttin' words in my mouth. I NEVER said anything about Tebow being the best in the NFL when he gets there. You're d-e-l-u-s-i-o-n-a-l. You see what you want to see.

I'm happy my team won, sue me. I haven't repeated **** and you DID ignore EVERYONE's replies back to you cause you had nothing to say and you had more than one person disagreeing with you. You're pathetic.

FACT - You're terrible at math and really good at skewing things you're way. I started 7 of the last 12 threads in this section, only 3 are about Florida. FACT - Outside of Scout's Pitt forum, no one cares what you have to say or agrees with you.

I wouldn't still be talking about Florida if it wasn't for Wishbone's trash talk after LOSING and your less than intelligent posts. I've been trying to discuss the NFL, the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
