Thanks! No Mustangs in my future. It's all about being an auto enthusiast. I've got plenty of Mopar friends. My uncle owns a Stratus R/T as well.

thats too bad...

the only thing i really dont like, are new stangs, and ford trucks...

ill talk trash on anyone in the right context..i mean, if i find a V8 i can beat with the RT...ill talk trash like a good lil ricer..or if i crush some ricerboy in a decal covered honda, ill run my mouth, if need be.

i ran a kid friday with an early 90s civic hatchback, maybe a CRX, with a body kit, painted camo green. he had it gutted, 12 inch wide slicks, race seats and harnesses. he stayed side by side with me the whole track...although he did red light with a 202 light, and i had a balmy 750 light...it was a very even race. he ran a 13.30 @ 103, i ran a 12.77 or so at about 104. once we got into the lanes for the next round of TTs, i gave him "props" as some would put it.

he went on to POUND some guy in a cobra.a 30 to a 13.60 by the stang...after the stang owner stood and went on and on about how he was gonna "chew up this ricer".it was great...and the stan ran me in the next round...

Amen to that...[sm=thanx.gif]

I've seen a few SS Camaros run good. Like everything else, it depends a bunch on the driver. I've seen badstratrt take several down, but it was mostly driver inexperience in the SS's.

It's always cool to see a car you'd never expect to run well, do so. We have a few locals with some quick cars like that. One is a GLH Omni that runs 11.9 @ 118. Another is an older Neon, pre SRT-4 that runs deep into the 11's. A 12 second Colt. Plenty of fast DSM's as well. I've lost twice to a 4X4 Dodge Diesel Pick-Up. Both runs were 12.8's Also beat and lost to a Shelby Daytona. I really enjoy beating LT1 Camaro's and Firebird's because of the misconception that all 3rd gen F-bodies are dogs. Well, except for the '89 Turbo T/A's. Most people know about the Buick 3.8 Turbo. But the TPI design never gets any credit. Tons of torque but no HP. Great stoplight to stoplight though. If I can cut a decent light at the track they usually can't run me down. It's always a good race when we have similar mods. I also love racing new GT's. Always fun to holeshot someone who's laughing at you. Honestly, most of the people I run into have respect. They're cool win or lose. Bad thing about losing is it makes me want to spend more money on the car but I guess that's not such a bad thing after all. Where do you guys race?

I always did love the Omni GLH and GLH-S for their giant killer sleeper power. It would be great to have one, to pull up next to some cocky prick in his brand new still wearing a 30 day tag Z-06 with an ugly little Omni econo-box and blow his doors off.

Nothing like a quick K-car of all things.

I'd have one if I could find one in good condition.
