yet another race for me mopar vs Chevy!

sunday i raced my friends 83-84 1500 reg. cab pickup with a 350 (5.7) headers with dual 12inch glasspack exaust bored 20 over 2.73 gearsand a think a 4barrel carb. and i beat him from take off and top end till my truck shut off we hd to do heads up cause i shutoff at 105 and by the time i start coming around him id shut off it really sucks. im prolly be called a lier on this race but this is the bold truth and this is my best win iv ever had and i am very proud of my truck with this win it was a hard one and was very very close but it was a win do to his mods and engine size and only wieghing 400 pounds more than i did i wiegh 3900 and he wieghs 4200 i think he said but im very proud of this race and would like to see what you guys really think about the win and im not lieing about this race it happined and was a very close one and a very small win mabey by half a length. These are my mods and his.

ill believe that. his gearing is probably what killed him. those are some high gears for a truck. are you sure it wasnt 3.73s he had? either way i think you would have took him.

yes my bad it was 3.73 i have 3.55 in mine sory about that guys.

no worries. good race anyways. ive run against one chevy 350 in my truck, but the engine had high mileage and wasnt running worth a crap. i smoked him but i dont consider it an even race. i think once he rebuilds the engine ill still be able to take him, since hes not doing a performance rebuild, hes just doing it as cheaply as he can. the only other chevy ive run was a 2006 quad cab with the 4.8 in it and i hung with him until about 3rd gear and he got about half a length on me. that was from a dig. same result on the interstate, going from 55 to 100. he pulled about half a length on me at about 90 mph. my dad just gota hemi i want to run against that guy with the 06 chevy but its my dads truck and im not gonna go around racing in a truck that isnt mine.

haha i hear that yeah this guy is above 100,00 but not much and is not a POS truck has a brand new paint job and rims and is well tookn care of there is not very many cars/trucks that can hand with him i was with him one time and he even gave this firebird with a v8 not sure what size but he gave his a run for his money in the mid range speeds. he aslo i forgo to add has an electric fan if thats any more power to him. iv raced a chevy with the 4.8 back when my truck was stock i didnt even have exaust yet and i smoked him bad. this chevy with the 350 has been my best race and most proud of race so far.
