^ shirt's right. a .410 shotgun shell is a very poor defensive round. it won't stop a crackhead unless you're lucky enough to hit him in the eyes and blind him. also the one or two shots is not enough. you'd have to reload and shoot him about 20 times before you put him away. you probably wouldn't have enough shells...

357 revolver, 9mm, 40, 45, etc semi-auto, pump or semi shotgun in big gauge is much better.
