i had one of those for my first gun. i had a 30$ 3-9x40 tasco scope on it and it was quite accurate. i could shoot marbles off a tree stump at 50 yards.
mine had either a bad firing pin or the spring that launches it was bad. either way it got where it would only dent every third bullet enough to make it fire.
i traded it for a discount on a 8mm mauser a year or so after i got my Remington 597.
