Default Bending fuel line tubing

Fuel line went out on my muscle car - Just a short section that runs from the fuel pump to the carb, probably about 2.5 ft.
Its got some crazy twists to it though, the kicker is the one coming right off the pump, had an elbow like bend.
Try as I might, I can not replicate this bend without flattening the tube.
I got a couple different style benders ,,, I must be missing something.

How do you bend these damn things without wrecking the tube ?

I could just run a rubber fuel line, but I'd rather keep it metal, due to being in close proximity to the engine, fan and belts.

You need a tubing bender with more capabilities than the autozone special. I'm not busting your butt either. You need to get one from a tool supplier. I bought a good one a few years ago from a dealer at Carlisle but here is a good one.

Nice tool, if I bent a lot of tubing I'd go for it.
Tool I got looks like it operates on the same concept, about the same design but cheaper parts.
I might just got a little section of flex fuel line and be done with it.
