Default Electric Fan

Has anyone who owns an 02-08 dodge ram 5.7 hemi, modified there truck with an electric fan? And if so...can u truthfully explain the benefits; if any, from this modification.

I don't have an 03-08 Hemi, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night...

By doing this mod, you should free up on average anywhere between 5-10 RWHP. That's just what the fan clutch eats on it's own. Many people do this mod just for the little jump in HP. Another thing that's good about an E-fan is traffic. I would think that being in San Diego, you've been in bumper to bumper to traffic that just crawls. In the dead of summer, I bet even the newest and best running motor will start to over heat. Just for the fact that you aren't having cool air forced in, and the idle RPMs wont spin that stock fan fast enough to benifit the motor's cooling abilities. With the E-fan, it will turn on full blast when the temp switch engages (if you wire it up that way) They really do help with cooling in the summer. Ask Hammer about this one.
