Too much? Nah. Too much internal balance beads is like choosing 93oct when you only need 89oct. It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't provide any additional benefits.
BUT, too little of balance beads and you are losing the effectiveness.

My car tires were balanced using those inside sticky weights which never truly balance a tire. I added 3oz to each and ride is super smooth now. I would have had to put 4-5oz in each if they were not pre-balanced.
My truck is the same(inside stickies) but I used 5oz in each tire cuz the size.

What are you wanting to add them to? What size are your tires? I would add 1oz less on already balanced tires than what is recommended on a no balance tire. So, I would have had to put 6-7oz in each tire on my truck if they weren't already balanced since they are XL tires which are much heavier than standard LT tires which would only need 4-6oz.

I would use 4oz in each tire if they are already spun balanced.
You shouldnt have any vibrations on the highway anymore as long as the tires are still in good shape. Noise=wear, so you should be riding quieter as well. Plus the tires will last longer.
