I tend to agree w/ Derrick on this, go get a little bit more metal intake tube from autozone to extend it out instead of using the accordion tube.

I saw the first few and thought "Why would you get a CAI and leave that heat collecting MONSTER to restrict the top of the motor?". But I do agree with the other guys and say that you need to replace the accordion with an aluminum pipe. It will further reduce the restriction in the intake and provide less material to transfer heat to the air.
You have one nice ride there Thomas, I saw your pics in the "Show us your 3rd gen v6" section, lots of custom work and lots of red.
