Ok, so in 1989 I was a freshman in high school and after working my tail off for a year at Montgomery Wards (Monkey Wards as my friends called it) I had saved enough to buy a clapped out 1983 Shelby Charger...which I actually one some street races in, shagged my High School sweethart in, cruised in, and then destroyed an engine and gearbox in (in about that same order over the period of 3 years and right around the time I started my senior year).
So our local mechanic put in a non-shelby, normal charger engine and gear box and the car was never the same for me. I passed it down to my little sister who promptly destroyed it. The last time I saw the car was 10 years ago, sitting in the back yard and the last I heard it went to the salvage yard for $75 bucks.
Anyway, I want the car back. If you know of anyone with a 1983 shelby charger for sale, let me know. My charger was a non-turbo. It was blue with silver stripes. It even had a plaque on the glove box with the original owners name on it (Larry someone).
