9 Dodge/Ram Trucks Bringing the Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching, and if you look around you'll see Dodge and Ram trucks helping it get here. Be they hauling trees, helping Santa get to the mall, delivering a truckload of gifts, or just taking the family to grandma's house while decked in holiday lights.

1. Ram at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

If you watched the parade from New York City on Thanksgiving morning, you saw Ram kicking off the holiday season in style. Every parade float was pulled by a Ram truck in the parade, including Santa Claus, and the balloons and their handlers were transported by Ram ProMaster vans behind the scenes. The TV cameras tend to shoot around the vehicles pulling the floats, but Ram sent out a press release with this picture of the preparations before the big day.

2. Ram Helping Santa and his Helpers

If you have a Ram, even a 1500, you can tow plenty. This one is pulling a train loaded with Santa and his Elves in another parade, in Easton, MD. Fred Frederick Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram is always there with a truck to lend a hand whenever there is a community event that needs help.

3. Cram the Ram with Toys

This is Fred Frederick again, with a Ram on the showroom floor overflowing with toys which they collect and donate to the Toys for Tots program every year. Of course, us big tots would prefer they just drive over in the Ram, toss us the keys, and take a cab home.

4. Santa to the Rescue

Are the firemen giving Santa a ride because his sled traveled so fast it caught fire? Or did Santa get stuck in a chimney and have to call 911 to get pulled out? Either way, this vintage fire engine in bright red is the perfect color for the season, and to give Santa a lift around town.

5. Flatbed Full of Cheer

This old workhorse doesn't look like it moves much under its own power these days. But that doesn't stop it from delivering a huge load of Christmas cheer to everyone who sees it. Hard to tell exactly what year this truck is, but it appears to be about a 1948 Dodge 2 ton flatbed.

6. Lone Ram on a Snow Covered Road

This white Ram truck plowing a snow-covered road is so beautiful you can almost hear the quiet that comes with a blanket of snow, and the rumble of the plow as it clears it. Without hard working trucks like this, and the drivers who pilot them, we'd have a lot harder time getting home for Christmas.

7. Cab Over Christmas

With cab over trucks of this era, it is really hard to tell the make, especially in a picture this dark. This ramp bed car hauler has been loaded up with lights and props, including Santa, his sleigh, and reindeer. Most people don't do a lot of racing in the winter, so why not bring some joy to the neighborhood while the race car sits in the garage.

8. Matched Set of Christmas Trucks

This matched pair of red and green Dodge trucks seem perfect for the Christmas season. We have a 1961 D-500 car hauler flat bed, in Santa Claus red with white details, and on the bed is a similar vintage holly green D-100 step side truck. These are so perfect they look like toy trucks you would find under the tree.

9. Christmas Vacation

This truck isn't dressed up at all, but it is from the movie Christmas Vacation, where the country boys used it to frighten the Griswolds when they were out looking for a Christmas tree. This truck is as much a Hollywood veteran as some of the actors in the film, having been Kurt Russel's in Overboard, as well as appearing in They Live.
