Default first time boost

Hey guys this is my first car with a turbo so I dont really know a whole lot. I do have a small concerne about my new car though, I had givin an 05 srt-4 a test drive about a month ago and I had noticed the boost was between 10 and 15 for the most part. I now own an 04 and was driving around today and the boost wont go over 5 and have found nothing. I wasnt sure if this was normal for my car becuase of the year or what. So if anyone can help I would be more than happy to listen.

Oh yea, were should my gauge sit when idling and when the car is off? As of right now when the car is on it will drop all the way down to -20 and when the car is off it sits at -10....

the gauge should sit at 0. that would explain why you see it at only 5psi. it's -10 off. it's reading 15 degrees butsince it's starting in the negatives it's off.replace the gauge and you'll be fine. don't bother with another stock one, just get an aftermarket one. i use the autometer lines, they're good and cheap (other than the stock one lol). summitracing has good prices on them and cheap shipping.
