Default Just anothe CAI thread

While I know the CAI debate will never end, I must say I spent my money on the K&N intake, and have just got around to putting it on. Took me longer than it should have because I am not the mechanical type and I wanted to make sure I did it right. I must tell you this I love this friggin thing!! Yes it is LOUD, Yes I have noticed a low end gain on it...as for the mpg, well I will have toget back to you on this as my foot is buried in it.. I used one of the factory rubber hoses as the one that came with it was to long and seemed like it would cut the air flow going to the place it was supposed to and that was a perfect fit so no harm no foul. Now if the weather holds out tomorrow the new eyes go in it.

If you're talking about the hose that goes to the oil breather, you may want to use the longer hose. I've found out that CAI's create a little vacuum which can actually suck oil all the way into the intake! I ended up capping the hole on my CAI and adding a seperate filter for the oil breather because mine was doing that, had oil all the way up to, but not in the intake...

Anybody tried the Vararam Hemi under glass set-up? It looks to be the best because it draws are from the front of the truck under the grill.
