Default Is it possible to quiet the cab?

Hello everyone. I just upgraded my 2003 plain 2 door, 2wd Dakotato a Quad cab, 4wd2003 Ram Laramie. The previous owner of the Ram installed the Flowmaster exhaust. I'm the kind of person that likes quiet inside the cab. I'd rather not have to change out the exhaust to get it quiet and was wondering what you think...

1) Is it possible to dampen the sound of the exhaust in the cab at all...even if its a little bit (without changing the exhaust)?
2) Would the way to do that be to go through and install some kind of sound dampening something-or-other?
2a) If so, where would I get some?
2b) If so, then what areas? Doors, Behind Rear Seat, Floor (is it possible)?
3) Has anyone done this?
4) What am I forgetting, or what would other alternatives be?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

best possib le way i feel would be to dynamat the floor people use this for trunk lids on car that vibraet from subs but it is a really good sound dampening method but requires taking out the carpet to do it the right way what i was planning on doing is going to the nearest autozone and getting that underbody coating stuff they say its sound dampening spray a bunch of that on the underbody right where the muffler is if u take any of this advice pm me back tell me how it works out for ya

i second the dynomat but you dont have to use actual dyno mat theres no name stuff on ebay that my friend used for his system works just as good and he got like an 18ft roll for like 50$ so its cheaper than dynomat,i would do doors behind the back seat and floor if possible

It would be easier to add a resonator the the exhaust.

Stock exhaust. Why spend a lot of money on something that might work. Exhaust noise comes through the windows, door cracks, body resonation etc. Find a stock muffler and enjoy the silence.

Any idea how much it would cost to get the stock exhause installed? I like the sound of the Flowmaster, but I like the peace & quiet inside. Just trying to think of all options.
Thanks for everyone's ideas.
I think I'll also look into dynamat (or generic brands)

i had my rockers rhino lined. it helped a good bit with road noise. i would also say that dynomat is the way to go. that stuff does wonders.

id simply look into changing out the muffler, its not very expensive. you can either A) get the stock exhaust from feejay, or get a magnaflow. i hear theyre not very loud, and you'll get a lot better flow. and on top of that, dynomat the floor of your truck, doors, and the back wall of the cab. and as said above, the dynomat or even non brand stuff does wonders!

get a stock exhaust installed?? no way, put it in yourself. see if the current setup is welded to the y-pipe in your truck. should be easy to tell. y pipe comes down just behind the front tires I think. you should be able to see a difference between the stock y pipe and the aftermarket intermediate tube (before muffler). if it's welded, then you'll have to rent a sawz-all or grinder to cut it off. if it's clamped, this whole thing will take you a couple hours.
