Default probs with carb upgrade

I have a 1987 Dodge Ramcharger, I have been working on for a while now and I am so close to getting it back on the road but I've run into a problem.....
My Ramcharger is 318 Auto trans I put an Edelbrock performance Cam, Lifters, Intake, and 600cfm carb (electric choke). I had to purchase a 1" spacer plate so that the new carb would clear the EGR Valve. Now the problem I have is that the kick-down bracket when mounted doesn't fully engage and also looks as if it could bind the throttle cable. Also I can not reconnect the cruise because it does bind up the entire works. I installed the additional Throttle Lever Adapter. Just looking for some advice and or possible products that could help fix this.
All help is appreciated, Thanks

It may be easier to reposition the EGR valve!BTW, do you mean the PCV valve? If the EGR, is it the EGR mod valve or vac sol?

Another option for kickdown is a lokar cable.

Thanks, it is the EGR Valve. I have a friend that is a machinist and is going to try to fab something for me. But I'll keep your ideas in mind if it doesn't pan out.
