Default 95 into 97 engine swap v-10

I used my 97 Harness and Computer . I had to splice the Cam , Crank , and oil sensors .. The connectors were different , so I took them off the 95 harness and spliced them onto my 97 harness .. The engine runs decent except my gas mileage is terrible . I used to get 12-13 mpg's ... Now I'm lucky if I get 7 mpg's ?? I also noticed a slight miss (popping) in the exhaust .. The big problem is It doesn't ' start all the time" . If you go to start it it will just crank and crank and crank ... But If I wait 30 seconds it will fire up (not all the time )So I wait another 30 secs. Then it will fire up.. I had a buddy put his scanner on and it says ( Cam & Crank signalnot in Sync) ?? This is frustrating . This is my Daily Driver, I need the truck for work [&:] Any Ideas ?????

Buy a prius for gas or just buy another good running dodge...
