Default with stage 2 what will it take to beat an evo?

I know I prolly wont get at an evo 8or 9 but I wanna see if i have a chance from a roll because i know from a dig its all a game of catch up once he launches. But I want to know honestly for those who went through it. Im wondering with a stage2 upgrade will I be able to beat a stock evo8 or 9? with the stage 2 upgrade and mopar exhaust? ohyeah btw im gonna use the mopar bov too just for the hll of it opinions please and no im not benchracing im just comparing?

it does depend on the driver, but an evo8 isn't a problem. i beat those things when i was stock. s2 is plenty to take a 9 if you can drive it decently.

bull ****. ive owned both. no way in hell a stock srt-4 can come close to takin an evo 8. period. only way is if other guy cant drive (wats the point in even saying you raced him if you KNOW it was NOT to the full potential of the car) or if he didnt take you seriuously.

really deanj287 I didnt know I know i never raced an evo thats why im asking if your referring to me. I find alot of evo people to really do nothing with their cars potentialwise only looks. But they do it to a point to where it makes the car look not so pretty. Dont get me wrong i love both cars but i rather get my money's worth

the mods for an evo (in my opinion ) are a little bit more than an srt-4 such as the 50 trim and 60 trim kits. maybe thats why. I personally leave cars the way they look from the factory as i hate all show and no go. im sure with satge 2 from a role you could take some stock or closer to stock ones out but you gotta kinda catch up in terms of power. I personally liked highway racing with my srt-4 as dump it into third and enjoy the boost. IMHO its the drive train that lacks. there is only so much you can do with front wheel drive, still i loved that car man and with stage 2 you should be able to walk on some stock or closer to stock ones . not off the line of course but you gotta get the launch down thats the key.

lol i have time slips and know people with the car....evo 8's do just about what a srt does stock, so why is that so hard to believe? because you think the evo is so high and mighty? lol yea ok, it's not that impressive of a car imo.......

great but knowing people compared to I HAVE ONE is two different things. the car is great but it has its weaknesses. Never said anything about high and mighty. only thing im opposed too is your saying you beat them stock.

i kno for a fact you dont have to have anything more than a stage 1 to beat an evo! a buddy of mine has an 04 srt stage 1, catback, and greddy e management and the car will fun mid 12's on street tires all day long! and low 12's on stickey mickeys............and im still tryin to get it tuned.
