1941 Dodge Is One Sexy Time Machine

You’d be quite the Dapper Dan rolling around in a vintage machine as cool as this.

In today’s ultra-connected, screens everywhere digital age, we can get pretty worn out. We don’t need more social media and fake celebrities filling our lives. What happened to the days where we were free to make mistakes, learn from our stupidity and fight our own way through this rocky life? We don’t need Dr. Phil to tell us we are hurting someone’s feelings. We don’t need Rachel Ray teaching us how to eat so we can watch our waist size. We miss the age of epic war heroes and transistor radios, and that’s why we want to buy this 1941 Dodge Panel Truck.

Imagine the adventures that this thing might have lived through in a previous life. It’s safe to say more than a few of the “Boomer” generation were created in trucks like this. A sergeant, fresh home from WWII could have used this truck to start his new construction business. A few dastardly fellas might have used a 41 panel truck as a heist car for a bank robbery.

That’s why we want one. On those days where the technology world is just too much to handle, we can open the garage to see those big black fenders and bright red paint calling to us. We can hop inside, head way out into the countryside and pretend Twitter and Facebook don’t exist.

Not everything was better in the past though, so a lot of this particular truck is improved. Under the hood you’ll find a 318 V8 that has been upgraded with a Holley 650 carb and electric choke. Power steering and air conditioning make it easy to drive, and new brakes ensure you can stop in a hurry.

We aren’t completely sold on the interior, and having the Dodge ram’s head logo on nearly every surface is a bit much, but for $32,000 you’d be hard pressed to find a more affordable time machine.

If you want to have the perfect vintage escape, getaway car, or “intimacy” wagon, head over to ClassicCars.com and give this truck a once over.
