Could the ‘Fury’ Nameplate Find A Home In MOPAR Again?

CarScoops has made a render of what a quasi Alfa-Dodge would look like, and as a Fury, it actually makes sense.

We’ll cut right to the chase. Stellantis may make a Fury at some point or another. But it won’t be this. In fact, this render will stay a render. Forever. That’s according to CarScoops, who would know, since they had the render made specifically for them.

The thought is simple. With Stellantis sharing platforms with MOPAR, which nameplate could be revived for a sedan just a bit smaller than the Charger? Fury, naturally. And if they were to make it from an existing car right now, it would be this. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quasi-folio.

Essentially a Dodge style front end has been grafted on to the front of Alfa’s hot clover car. And we have to admit, it actually looks a bit better than the Alfa Romeo. We’re prepared for the onslaught of criticism for that one. And it’s better than the restyling Chrysler actually did with the SRT6 Crossfire, which looked far worse than the Mercedes SLK it was based on. Win some, lose some.

Since we can do a bit of fan-fiction here, let’s say someone at Stellantis gave this car a green light. The V6 turbo would easily be called the “SRT-6.” Which would be the best kind of fiction since no one really knows if SRT will actually be around any more. It wouldn’t have many styling cues like the older Fury models that came before, but it would at least revive the name.

But as pointed out in the article, future related products across the brands will share common architecture, specifically not this one. But if the Fury does arrive, it’ll be an EV based on a shared chassis from other Stellantis offerings. AutoWeek notes that EV’s will “enable more performance than we’ve ever seen before. Ever.” That’s according to Dodge head honcho Tim Kuniskis. That may be true and all, but we just ask for one more generation of V8 power from SRT. It’s the least they can do till it’s outlawed completely.
