Roger Corman’s Death Race 2050 Looks So Bad, Yet So Good

Get ready for the best worst-thing you can buy on the internet today. That’s right, Death Race 2050 is coming to DVD! And it’s guaranteed to be the hottest piece of epic garbage ever available.

Death Race 2050 is the masterful work of acclaimed cult film creator Roger Corman. It’s the sequel to Death Race 2000, starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone. This time around we get Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) as the Tyrant, Manu Bennet (Arrow) as Frankenstein, and a bunch of actors you’ve likely never heard of.

The film is set in a dystopian future where corporations have taken over the United States (we’re not far off folks). They enlist sadistic drivers and their menacing machines for a cross-country race of murder, gore, debauchery, sexual perversion, explosions, and cheesy dialogue.

Prepare yourself for the ride of your life. The race is broadcast in futuristic virtual reality (not really) and puts you right in the driver seat. So you can watch Frankenstein and his sultry navigator kill grandmas, babies, and fellow road warriors across a perilous wasteland.

Death Race 2050 is available now on Blu-ray and DVD. To get a better feel for the inanity involved, check out the Red Band trailer above. Careful though, it’s NSFW.
