Trucking Good Time: The 2024 Grand National Truck Show Returns to Pomona
At the 2024 Grand National Truck Show hundreds of spectacular trucks will be competing for the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Truck’ award.
In the automotive world, cars seem to grab most of the attention while trucks take a back seat. There are hundreds of local cars and coffee events around the country, but how many trucks and coffee events have you heard of? Sure, trucks are welcome at these events. Everyone is always happy to see a Ram TRX or a 1949 Power Wagon. But there are not many shows that make trucks, vans and SUVs the feature vehicles. Last year the O’Reilly Auto Parts Grand National Truck Show, presented by Classic Truck Performance magazine, set out to change all that. The inaugural show was a huge success, and it is returning for 2024.
The second annual Grand National Truck Show is set to take place September 14-15 at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. All trucks, vans and SUVs from 1900 to today are welcome. Any make, model or year domestic or foreign is allowed to take part. If it has a bed or cargo compartment, it is eligible. At the show you will see modified, restored, restomods, survivors, lifted trucks, slammed trucks and everything in between. New this year is the “World’s Most Beautiful Truck” award competition presented by ARP Fasteners with a $12,500 purse and a custom trophy.
Family Fun
The great thing about the Grand National Truck Show is that it is a family friendly affair. There will be plenty of vendors on hand selling all the latest truck-related products. Don’t need anything for your truck? Well, you still have to eat, so stop by one of the many food vendors. There will also be live music, and you can even bring an item of your own to get pinstriped by a professional artist.
Outside of the Fairplex buildings is the Grand National Truck-In. The Truck-In is open to all years and styles of trucks, vans and SUVs. The pre-registration date has already passed but single day registration is available on-site for $50 per day (cash only). You won’t get the dash plaque, and goody bag like the folks that pre-registered but it is still an awesome place to hang out with your truck friends.
Getting There
Tickets to the 2024 Grand National Truck Show are $20 for adults or $10 for children, but kids 5 and under get in free. Discounted tickets may be available at your local O’Reilly Auto Parts store. If you are not a truck enthusiast, we still think you should go because this show just might turn you into one. Either way, we promise that you and your family will have a great time.
