Viper ACR Beats the New LFA Lexus at the ‘Ring

This is starting to get ridiculous. A few weeks ago, the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package ripped around the “Green Hell” in 7:14:64, which was faster than offerings from Viper, Corvette, Ferrari, and Porsche, and put it fourth ever in the production car standings. But thanks to the 2010 Dodge Viper ACR, that placement didn’t last long.

The boys from SRT picked up a brand-new 2010 ACR from a Texas dealer,
headed back over to Germany, and according to the Viper Club of America
President, laid down a time of “7:12 and change.” Now generally, these
“records”–to be clear, these runs are for bragging rights only–are
accompanied by cockpit video, which we don’t have yet.

Let’s
hope the guys weren’t so focused on getting the car set that they forgot
the video. We thought it be out by now, but we’ll keep you posted.
