Default Locking up in reverse only?

Ok, so i've been trying to give my new mechanic [and that depends on how this is all resolved..] some time to dive into my issue and he doesn't believe my issue is in the cv joint since it's only locking up when i go in reverse.

Anyone know what would make an NV-T350 [A578] transmission lock up only in reverse?

It has had the proper fluid for the past 3 years and i've changed it twice by my own choice/boredom. Last time was 8 months ago.

Transmission locks while reversing cause just because the lock pin might got corrupted, so by servicing lock pin results as a solution to this problem.
