What are your future plans for your Dak?
 

Mine is to most likely end up either in the junk yard after winter or getting a new (rebuilt) motor, but I want a magnum so we'll see how that goes. And maybe get it painted black when I have some extra $$ lol. But just wanted to see what " projects" you guys are planning on or in the process of doing. I just got done painting the wood grain in my truck, It didnt look bad but I wanted to see how well Wal-Mart .97 flat black paint worked out, no sanding, no primer. Doesnt look bad.

I only got a few things to do in the short run.

1. I want to get a larger transmission cooler.
2. Replace my steering gear, it is really loose. 2nd one that did that.
3. New tires, or at least good used ones a Craigslist special.


On the long run.
1. Paint
2. Supercharger

Besides getting the cruise control working and figuring out why the air bag light is on, below listed in order are my short term plans (next 4 months) for my Dakota.
After I get these done I will decide whether or not to sell it and buy a new truck or keep it. My '94 Dakota is a great truck with low miles and car payments suck so, I'm leaning more toward keeping it.

1) Plenum gasket fix (hughes type)
2) Replace suspension bushings
3) New ignition system
4) New exhaust system

Done so far:
1) New tires
1) New shocks

wow, all this time ive spent on here and their was a fourm i missed? i feel stupid now. lol. my bad. I saw the "what did you do to your Kota today" fourm and I got this Idea

convert it to 4wd...maybe. right now i need to get new ball joints an alignment, and new tires because every turn i make it sounds like a bunch of people playing basketball on freshly waxed gym floor(squeaky).

get my new door painted and installed.
finish the floor so i can finally drive with my windows closed and not(!) get exhaust poisoning.

next year its temporary motor(or new motor) and new (correctly done) paint job.

It's cool. We get new post like this all the time. We don't need it all to be on the same thread.

it will have to wait though unfortunately. i have to get teh new door painted and the floor done so i'm not driving around with the window open in the cold(like last year)

New radiator, and cherrybomb exhaust. Then giving it to my son to use for school next year.

I just traded a local welder one of my dirtbikes to make me a sweet rollbar. Still waiting on it tho, should be ready by next week. Other than that, I need to chase down a brake shimmy, and we should be lookin good!
