Hey you

Man I kinda miss Toby warford. Fun getting in an argument with someone that didn't know anything but thought they did.

He's admin on one of the Facebook groups.

Although, there, he can use the banhammer on you.

He sure knows some things but always had to comment whether he knew anything about it or not. That in itself is not so bad just annoying, but man could he be flat mean whilst also being wrong. Young guy I think, hopefully he gets that testosterone or angst or whatever it is worked out because he had the potential to be a valuable member.

Well personally, I believe "Hey You" made a wise decision banning him.
This or any other forum will not last long, if there is not some sort of standard for civility and manners towards one and another in place.
I personally know of 2 members who no longer come on here because of the non sense and drama that actions like his caused.
If someone says something that I disagree with, or believe is incorrect, I dont believe it is wrong to state my opinion and reference what I base that on. ie: manufactures instructions
Again, IMO what I dont believe is acceptable, is name calling, making fun of someones question, or position on a subject.

Personally, I am thankful that this forum exist, and thankful that there are some good members on here who share experiences, and give good advise on these trucks .
IMO, there is no other internet forum as good as this one, and again, I hope it stays that way.
We should encourage new, and old members to be more active in a positive way.
This can bring new ideas and experiences to all of us.

I dont want to end this without telling a few of the "common knowledge things" I have learned from this forum.
A NV3500 transmission and a nv231 transfer case will bolt in with a few mods to my truck. (Thanks Ragged89 and your build write up!!)
A 5.9 magnum will bolt in to my 87, but I better plan on keeping the serpentine belt system. (Thanks Robertmee and your build write up!!)
Many questions on parts availability, where to source it from, etc have been answered by RalphP
There are many others besides these three, but in my experience, I have learned to trust them, and listen to their advise.....

Myself, I want to thank Hey You for monitoring this forum, keeping it civil, so it can be beneficial to all of us. And I hope he continues to do this in the future!!

Not really a tech related thread here. :)

Toby had some good moments, but, was a tad too combative.

I enjoy my time here, (probably why I have north of 50k posts......) I joined when I bought my first dodge truck...... and learned a LOT in relatively short order. Made me wish I had done my research FIRST before buying. Could have got a better price on my truck. :D Came in handy for my second purchase.

My goal is to KEEP this place as a great source for help and information. Nice to know my efforts are appreciated. :) Thanks Guys.

Moving this to general discussion.
