Default Trail ride (minor battle damage)

So I took my truck on a trail ride and then through some mud this past weekend. I only got one good picture (3 pictures of the same spot, this is the best one) on the trail cause my camera battery died (next time I'll make sure its charged).

It took me over 2 hours to clean the mud off of it... I really wish I had gotten a picture of it muddy, but when I got it cleaned up I saw the scratch a pine branch put on my truck (the branch got picked up by my back tire as I was backing out of a narrow spot)...

Lol, I guess you can't have a show truck and take it off road too!... cause for those of you who have been around long enough to know me, ya'll know this is how I typically keep my truck looking! (this is right after cleaning off the mud)...

(The fender flares are off of it cause I wanted to clean under them, and I'm going to wait to put them back on 'til this weekend cause I'll try to take a high speed buffer to that scratch and see what will come out)

Anyway, that little damage isn't going to stop me from going trail riding again, so next time I'll post up some more pics on this thread....

And in the meantime, lets see if we can get some more offroading pictures going!! (I know you have some Crazy )

Alright you have been initiated into the Offroad club. (Well after new paint anyways). Batle scars! Gotta love them! Those scratches look bad, could be worse. Trust me I have a few deep ones. My paint is scratched and its chipping. But at least it is not fading. Still the same color as when it had be painted about 10 years ago. I don't have to many new Offroad pics! I'm heading to the Offroad area tomorrow I will see if I can take a few. But here a few good ones from the past.

Some of them are through the clear coat, but most of it should buff out. None of them are all the way through the paint. If they were, I'd repaint it :P.... of course I'm still planning on doing more body work and repainting it at the end of summer anyways. I'm working on more photoshop ideas. When I finally get the donor truck for a new body and decide to fix it up and repaint it I'll tear the current body apart offroad!!!

Yeah be sure to get pics!! I love seeing the terrain you have out there in NM! We don't have that here, just some wooded trails and stuff.

I commented on that in my first post... I took them off to clean under them and clean the flares themselves, and I'm going to leave them off until I have the time to buff out the whole truck. I'm hoping that big scratch will buff most of the way out, and the whole truck needs it anyway.

Ya save the paint. Again I love the "Emerald Green". Ya I just posted that in the other thread. Ya we have just about every kind of terrain within an hour of the city. The closest is the desert hills, 10 mins away. Like the 2nd to the last one with my dog in the window. That was when he was a puppy. Now he's a large dog.

Where are your closest trails? Close to home? Is it the moutains or it is just a wooded area?

Just a wooded area in the next town over (about 10 miles away). Those trails were actually right behind a subdivision, I think they were originally intended for 4 wheelers, cause they were kinda narrow. There are also some around the big lake near by but I haven't been to them yet. The buddy of mine I was with was showing me some spots, and I'm sure he'll show me more.

There are a lot of great trails in the mountains... or so I have heard. When I get done with this first 5 week summer session at school, I'll have to get a couple friends and go offroading/camping up there.

Lol, ya'll aren't gonna live down the "emerald green" comment are you :P

Crazy, you take your flares off to buff? JK. I still love the skid plate you got there. I have 5/8 inch thick mending plates for a barge. Ovrkill? And too heavy?

I like the scratches a little, which is why I want to paint my truck with military CARC paint because I can't handle having a nicely painted truck and let it get scratched. If I did a killer paint job in Hemi orange I don't think I could park my truck next to other cars let alone take it on a trail. Lol.

But I do plan on mounting the external roll cage on the truck and over the cap.

DOn't know how you do it 95_318SLT.

By the way Crazy, I never noticed you had black rims, haven't seen them without mud or being underwater in mud. Are they powder coated or did you paint them?
