Yes and Yes. If I recall correctly, the gen 2 Dakotas have the same floorpan as our trucks, so the seats should fit. They may require minor bending or cutting of the mounts, but it should be an easy project. Also, Dodge used the same throttle body from '92 until they stopped making the magnum engines, and the v8 TB is a direct fit on the v6.
An interesting note:
Both the 1st (1987-1996) and 2nd Generation (1997-2004) Dakota's shared the same body code (AN).
I don't know why they didn't change the body code. I mean, they changed the body code on other models.
Ooops, when I said the floor pan was the same, I was remembering something I read on allpar.com, but after going back and looking at it, it said "The body had one major part in common with the first generation: the box floor." So its the bed floor that is the same not the cab floor. Sorry about that. The seat swap is still very much possible though.
Also, Dodgerules, according to allpar.com, the 2nd gen dakotas are body code DN.
