Were is the Diagnostic plug on a 1993 3.9

Default Were is the Diagnostic plug on a 1993 3.9

need to know were the diagnostic plug in on a 1993 dakota 3.9 liter , mine is acting like the fuel pump is going bad had to smack the tank the other day to get it ti start , no fuel at all going into carb, ran for about 5 mins then it was like someone pinched the fuel off it quit and just cranked and cranked , went out today and it fired right up fired up five times in a row and ran fine tried it again fired then quit now it cranks and cranks again

Ya it sounds like a bad fuel pump. The notorious power splice can affect the power to the pump. I would double check that first. You can find a write up in the FAQ in this section.

To answer your main question the connector is under the hood on the passenger side by the firewall. It is a square type of connector that has a notch on its side. It will just be danging down.

But unless you have a scanner or a code reader that will not help you diagnosing your fuel pump problem.
