Default Plenum Project Pics Success..?

engine- V8 Magnum 5.2

Finished replacing my plenum plate and gasket last weekend. It was a fun/hard learning project and I got say I'm glad I bought the hughes engine plenum kit because it made the project easier.

Improvements- My truck is really quite and I think I stopped burning oil, but to early to tell.

Any questions?

I am not one to pour oil on the ground, but gas would have saved alot of time with the cleaning. The scubby bubbles to finish up. It does look good though.

Yea, I went through two cans of foaming engine cleaner just to get the burnt oil off. Also the cleaning part of the project was the most time consuming.

It was my first time taking the top of an engine apart so it took about 13 hours to do the whole project. If I were to do the same project again I could probably do it in 8 hours.

Besides the cleaning, did you have any other set backs?
