i solved the problem by ignoring it. after about a year it went away (had a few bald spots on the inner fender though) i know thats not what you guys do but what i went through it didn't much matter.
i should add to make sure the upper control arm is adjusted properly in or out, that makes a difference and most alignment shops don't even know you can do it.

BTW, you get lucky enough to have an actual 1st gen brush guard on your truck???

lol I'll agree. EVERYTIME I pull into my driveway I have to do a 90 degree left turn to get to where I park and theres just enough of a dip that when I do, GRIIIIIIIND!!! and I can see that it rubs off a lil bit of the very outside edge of my tires. I plan on doin some body work very soon lol.
