like i said thats just not the way you guys do things, my truck was i thought was on it's last legs so it didn't matter, just needed it for that summers fishing.
i did think of something though, what about a spacer to take the wheel out. makes it more stable too. would it be enough?
i serious thought about taking an old set of drums and rotors i had and cutting them into flat solid spacers to take the wheels out.

looks like it is mounted to the bumper. It does cover the entire front, starting right above the bumper. And wraps around the sides to go around the lights. And it was on there when i bought the truck

HAHA, it was on there when I bought the truck. You sound like they don't sell them or something? Is that true? Or is it that they are just crazy expensive?

Brush Guards/ Grill Guards are hard to find, that bolt in. Ebay seems to be one of the only ones, but it is unclear if it is direct bolt on. Lots of people don't want to drill so that is one of their only choices. A few web sites have it listed too, but no details like before. FAQ2 has a list of the websites.(For others who may be looking for them)
I would conceder yours to be bumber bracket mounted. Which is frame mounted. So if you do get in an accident the bumper brackets will mess up before the frame.
For me I just custom made mine. Very simple and cheep.

It looks like his bolts on the same way mine does, through the two existing holes where the carriage bolts are. Getting a 1st gen brush guard is a chore.
