no power to radio

Default no power to radio

so last night my musics playin..then nothing. radio just has no power anymore. i do have a system hooked up but even after checkin all the fuses..wires..and unhooking the system still no power to the radio. ive tested the radio and it still works fine..just not in the truck. so im lost...

Under the hood in the PDC check the IOD fuse, should be 5 amp

wow. i looked right at that and checked everything but that 1 thinking it had nothing to do with the radio. theres a lot of bad words coming outta my mouth right now haha. whats that fuse for anyway?

Ignition Off Draw, used for maintaining radio memory.

It's used for the dome lights and footwell lighting also, mine will blow if I've left the door open for an extended period.

see thats the thing. i had the music goin..open the door and it died lol. i did just get a new battery a few days ago put a new negative cable on right before this happened so maybe everything wasnt used to that 0.2 amp increase haha j/k

either that or your door switch shorted out and blew the fuse... mine did that periodically until I replaced it.

are you talking bout the lil thing sticking out right at the front of the door that sets the buzzer off? i could see that happening. especially cause ive had my system louder with no problems and i figure a new battery and cable would actually help of course so yeah i bet it was something like that.

I need to check this out maybe? As my radio wont hold a memory. Of course I am not quite sure what to hook the memory up to as its not hooked to anything now. What color wire is the stock memory wire? Of course my dome lights dont come on when I open the door, which is OK by me, but could that be why?
