Every truck is different. Some might NEED it some might not. You can wait till you have tire wear but by then you killed tires that will cost $400-up vs paying the $80 for the alignment. So it is best do to ASAP before problems/wear happens.

The Advance link doesn't say how tall it is. The JCW one is 2in tall. I would recommend one on top one on the bottom. 1in each like these.

Again the link was in the FAQ2.

A couple of questions.
Do I have to take off the entire knuckle to put the spacers in?
and if we do, is it hard to reinstall the entire knuckle with spacers back on it?

No you don't have to remove the entire knuckle. Just separate the lower ball joint. Get a coil spring compressor and compress the spring then separate the lower ball joint, use a jack under the control arm to control how the spring is removed. It has tension. Then remove the spring and install the top spacer then coil then lower spacer. It may be a PIA to get all of it in there. Compress the HELL out of the spring to fit it all. Then you can use the jack to jack up the control arm ball joint back into place.

when i added 2 leafs each side i found the ride was great. non of the expected harshness at all!
i drive a 2005 mazda b2300 2x4 now and the ride is far stiffer at the rear than the Dak and it could haul a far heavier load than the mazda could ever think of doing.
to be truthful i didn't notice any difference between the extra leafs and the original setup (except less body roll around turns and no more wheel hop in snow, both good things)
i put some pictures of the leaf packs on the truck in my profile, just click "mazda 7475" and go into "pictures and albums"
it's a 4x4 but the idea is the same. i had a bad back at the time and could not get right in there but i'll get more detailed shots added soon. the second and fourth leafs from the top where the ones added.

To install the AAL, does it go on the bottom or top of the leafs? My guess would be bottom (just want to double check)

also, has anyone used these?

Yes the AAL goes on the bottom of the spring packs. There are helper springs that install on top.

The shackles you listed won't work for 4wd it would just lower it.

The 2nd link is just spacers for air bags. You would need air bags in order to use those.
