Default Quick window question

The glass in electric windows is the same as the glass in manual? I have manual windows but one of the previous owners had window tint that makes it feel like I'm driving through a car wash. I've tried taking it off with marginal success.

Not knowing which year, I can't double check the parts book for your year.

However, for 1988/1989, they show two numbers - one for the right, one for the left.

They don't distinguish between electric and manual on the window glass.

REGULATORS, now ...

Sorry, I have a 95, so if it's not showing any different numbers shouldn't be a problem. I found a 90 electric window at a junkyard, I thinking i could just swap out the glass.

Heh. Looking at the 94_96 parts book from the FAQ download, they use ... the exact same part numbers my 1988 uses!

So, no problem.

Ok so I've been trying to keep this swap as a last resort. So obviously the junkyard disconnected the battery, how would I go about getting the glass out? I have seen people take a jumpbox to test motors and such, but I don't remember how.

Put power to the positive wire and ground the other side to the body. ?

If it's at the junkyard, one possibility is to follow the wiring from the motor back to its connector; cut the connector on the body side of the wiring harness; and jump 12V into the two wires that run to the motor. If it's running the wrong way, then swap which one is +12 and which one is -12 off the jump box.
