Default Trans wont move the truck until at least 1000-1500rpm

For the past couple of months i have had this issue on my 95 3.9 auto trans. I have done 2 drain and fills within the past year on the trans. The fluid level is perfect. Today i went to start the truck and move it around in the driveway, put it in gear foot off brake and it doesnt move. I had to accelerate to about 1200rpm before truck started to move. Oddly enough this only happens in drive. When i place the shifter level in 1st gear it moves right away. Any ideas?

When is the last time the bands were adjusted? Manual first gear uses a different hydraulic circuit than auto first gear.

I honestly had no idea that procedure could even be done. I just watched several you tube videos on it. I guess for the forward gears the adjustment nut is on the outside. Torque to 72”pounds and back off 2 1/2 turns. Ill try this out and see what it does. Thanks.
