On both sides of the front fenders my '96 Dakota has these spring-loaded twin contact things. I don't know if they lead to wires or vacuum hoses or what. It seems when the hood closes, they make contact or something. Always wondered what their purpose/function was so today I decided to ask Forum members? Thank you.
