Actually, glass headlights do mean something, since the square H4666 lights are a sealed beam with a glass lens, and the composite 92-96 are basically plastic lenses, and are shaped differently than the glass lensed lights.

NO, it doesn't. Because 91-96 could have glass lights. Glass lights don't mean the parts are interchangeable.

According to several sources, including Wikipedia, the sealed beam glass lights were phased out in 92 altogether. Moparonlineparts.com doesnt even show an option for the sealed beam lights for 92 and up Dakotas.
Wasn't regional. Nationwide option. No one said anything about changing grilles and lights.

92-96 trucks, according to every source i have ever looked at, as well as every truck i have ever looked at, come with composite/plastic lights, not glass. The only way a 92-96 truck has glass headlights is if someone swapped the grill, hood, core support, and lights from an 87-90. They did not come that way from the factory. The lights in this truck, which were only used in the 87-91 are glass:

And the lights in this truck, used in the 92-96 trucks, are plastic, and did not ever have glass lenses:

so, yes, to verify which hood, core support, and grill will match your truck, all you have to do is find parts from a truck that has the same head lights as the one you have. If the headlights dont match, then, no, the hood, grill, core support, and marker lights wont work on your truck, as you can NOT, for example, use the hood from a truck with the square glass headlights on a truck with the plastic headlights, because the hoods are 2 different lengths. The one from the 92-96 trucks is longer than the one from the 87-91 trucks. The H4666 sealed beam glass headlights will not mount to a 92-96 core supprt, and neither will the grill, i know, i tried, because i got sick of always having to clean the lenses on my plastic lights on 3 different trucks.

NO! For the third time and from two different people, the 91-96 could come with square glass sealed beam headlights. Why are you even arguing this? Learn something new everyday they say. Once again, glass headlights don't mean anything. The grill and bumper do.

Because, frankly, you are both wrong. The 1991 could come with either light set up, but, for 1992 and up, the sealed beam lights were completely phased out, which means you can ONLY get the composite lights for a 92-96, and, if you have composite 92-96 lights, you can NOT use the grill, markers or core support from an 87-91, because they are completely different. After building 6 of these trucks from bare frame over the last 12 years, i know what works and what doesnt with what.

Again, youre wrong. 91 didnt have 2 different grilles. I literally just showed you a pic of a 91-96 dakora with sealed beams. 91-96 could have sealed beam headlights. End of story. Move on. Learn something instead of arguing.

Fleet sales for one.

MoparOnlineParts.COM may not show them; shucks, there's a LOT of NLA parts they don't show.

But the parts lists (downloadable from the FAQ here) sure do! And the proper part numbers to convert to the sealed beams.

Why to convert to the glass faced headlights instead of plastic headlights? Clear glass instead of yellow, cloudy plastic headlights?

I currently have 2 different 91 (an early and a late version) trucks, and i can verify that if you have the glass headlights, the grill from a truck with composite headlights will not fit a truck with sealed beam lights without changing the core support, because i tried to swap the grill and lights from a 94 to my early model 91, and absolutely nothing would line up.

Then the truck isn't a 91. This isnt complicated. Literally no one but you is saying what you're sayibg. You can even Google and see sealed beam hesdlights on a 91-96 truck that still has the same grill because guess what, its a 91-96 front end.

I'm starting to think instead of you being arrogant you're just trolling. Either way, neither will get you far here.
