help 94 Dakota fuel pump not running
Sunday night, everything closed, won't start, of course... don't hear the fuel pump at start up. What is the list of things to check, what relays? and what fuses ? what connections ?
Many thanks for any checklists Propperdad |
Thump on the bottom of the gas tank, and try and start it.

Bypass the ASD and then see if there's 12V at the fuel pump connector at the gas tank.
For guessing, I'd guess the pump after, what, 25 years of running? RwP |
Ditto on the pump giving up, after 25 years I epect mine to go pretty soon. I'll probably replace it this summer sometime just so I'm not forced to do it later this year when it gets cold or worse yet after the snow flies.

Steve Or while it's 105F with a heat index to 120F ... Again with a full tank of fuel. (Can fuel pumps fail with EMPTY tanks?) RwP |

While a wet snow is falling, at a foot an hour, with a freshly full tank of fuel. while the wind is blowing hard enough to drop to a -40 wind chill.
