If you have the old radio they may still be on the radio itself.

Why did you hack the harness instead of buying the adapter?

None the less ... Check the attached PDF.

Be careful if you have the Xfinity sound system option, the rear speakers have independent audio controllers that NEED to stay with the new speakers.

For a 1996? And it's Infinity, not Xfinity (Xfinity is AT&Ts broadband service).

From the 1996 FSM:

Speaker system options include two or four
speaker locations. On two-speaker systems, one full
range speaker is located in each front door. Four
speaker systems add one-full range speaker in each
rear cab side panel.
The premium speaker option upgrades all the
speakers in the above locations to Infinity models.
Infinity bi-amplified coaxial speakers are mounted in
each front door. Infinity full-range speakers are
mounted in the rear cab side panels. The Infinity
coaxial speakers each feature an integral amplifier
and frequency filter unit. The Infinity full-range
speaker in the club cab models also feature an inte
gral amplifier and frequency filter unit. The ampli
fier of the radio is used to drive the tweeters in each
of the front door coaxial speakers and the full-range
speakers in the standard cab models. The speaker
mounted amplifiers drive the woofers in each of the
front door coaxial speakers and the full-range speak
ers in the club cab models.
So, no, no problem if he has the Infinity speakers. And if he doesn't no problem.

I have attached the 1996 wiring diagram from the PDF service manual in our downloads area here.

Mike Killian - I'd definately download that PDF and use its wiring diagrams to help you. And the rest of the manual.

AT&T uses the xfinity thing as well? I thought it was just Comcast? Or did one of them buy the other, and I just missed it?

You are right, of course.

AT&T has a similar service for their higher end Internet, but I forget what they're calling it around here.

You DID add a wire from the radio's ground to the chassis, right?

Also, what head unit are you connecting?
