Won't go into any gear
 

91 Dakota, 5.2 42RH auto
Was going to change the overdrive solenoid, until I figured out that I'd need to drop the transmission. So I started to drop the valve body, but couldn't get my hands in place to take the clip loose from the trans linkage. So I put it all back together, and now it won't go into any gear. So I'm wondering what did I do wrong?

Update; it goes into all gears but is very labored to move,as if the e brake is on.
