Wire Harness Problem

Will a 1996 Dodge Dakota 3.9 engine wire harness with computer work on a 1992 Dodge Dakota 3.9 ??
please Help

I don't know of any changes to those years that would prevent it working. AFAIK they are both Magnum's. If the wire harness in the 92 is OK try just installing the other computer first. That should work.

The 96 will be OBDII, the 92 is OBDI, so, no, not compatible. At least, not without repinning some of the connectors.....

Also, I thought the 3.9 didn't go magnum until 93?? I may be wrong there.

I read the post I replied to as comparing 93 and 92
About halfway down this page just under the sales chart it says "For 1992, the V6 got the Magnum treatment,..." https://www.allpar.com/threads/dodge...ost-1085223563

Wire harness problem

Well, here is the problem, I took out the wire harness and computer out of a 1996 Dodge Dakota 3.9 and put it in a 1992 Dodge Dakota 3.9. So I have no power to the fuse box under the hood. What wire from the battery powers the fuse box ?

Isn't there a fat cable that goes from the battery to the PDC??? Should go to the same terminal the alternator feed does. I think..... :)
