Default Shaking

recently while driving. my 93 dakota will start almost shaking really weird when i step on the gas. at first i thought my drive shaft was messed or something. but as soon as you let off, it stops. and you just cost very smoothly.

i was checking around on here, and i came across a guy with an 89 dakota that had a "sputtering while accelerating" now i don't know if its the same as im experiencing. but i wanna get this fixed asap. another weird thing is. sometimes i can hop in, drive and not feel a thing. park it, come out an hour later, start it and drive off, and feel it immediately. so its like when its cold it doesnt do it, but when its hot it does?

the guy that had the sputtering said he fixed the problem by fixing something under the pickup plate in the distributor. im wondering if i should take a look at mine. or does anyone else know what this could be?

when it does do the shaking. it will idle like 2-300 rpm lower then it usually does. around 400 rpm. close to stalling, and it only idles that low when its in gear. if its in park, it idles back at normal.

Another thing to inspect are your CV joints.

does it shake or shutter?? also does it act like its running rough?? i had a shadow that would shutter if you took off hard or got on the gas more like taking off from a stop sign normal..you'd have to slowly easy on the gas...and what caused that was a bad tqconverter..

im more led to believe that this isnt a very hard mechanical problem. because its happens maybe only 1/2 the time of when im actually driving. and if it was something in my drive line, transmission etc. i dont think it would just be randomly going away. i dont know if its cv joints either. because its only when i accelerate. and i can coast just fine. can any second the possibility its the distributor?

does it shake or shutter??

well its really hard to explain, but it feels like im driving over a washboard when it happens.

Have you changed your rear diff gear oil lately. If so did you add the friction modifier for limited slip?
