Default 87 indy 500 dakota

I bought a new 87 indianapolis 500 edition pace car Dakota back in 87, knowing they were a limited edition,my truck has a special plate on the dash showing that my truck is # 236 . my question is does anyone know how many of these trucks were built? when it was new I inquired to Dodge as to how many were built but never recieved a response telling me how many they built! they only told me that they were sent out to a local shop to have the graphics applied. they didn't know how many were sent! I tried to contact the graphics shop and they said that they did do the trucks but didn't have a record of how many! anyway I was hoping someone may have some connections to help me find out how special my limited edition really is! If you can help please e-mail me at dodge3406pack@buckeye-express.com

Thanks !!! dave

I looked around. One guy said his was #840. So maybe 1,000 or so.
This place would be the best. If you find out let us know. http://www.productioncars.com/

Back from the dead!

Here's my Indy. Mine is an example of the "Street Side" version. The "Track Side" version looks more like my Son's go-kart replica....

I have very little to no info on these trucks and have searched the web to find nothing...

Google pic!

Nice truck! Anything else to the Indy edition except for the exterior?

I have a shot at #250 right now which has the track side graphics... kinda curious of whether it's worth trading off my daily driver for

I take it you ended up pulling the trigger on it. What did you trade for it?
