Angry Big problems

hello everone im new here i have a 96 dakota 3.9 burns wiring pig tales for my headlight swith and the swith too anyhelp plz

are you saying it just burnt the switch and pigtales for the headlight switch, or it does it often? need some more info.

ok sorry did not give all info what it dose is my head lights will blink but when i go to change the head light switch the pigtale is burnt too and the switch is bad also im so confused with it.the problem it intermiten this time it lasted 4 9 months but its the 2 pigtale i had to wire into it and like the 7 or 8 switch i have had to replace is ther head light relays on that yr ?

There are no headlights relays for the Gen 1 Dakotas. There should have been, but Chrysler didn't seem to understand basics of electricity back than.

It's highly recommended to install relays for the headlights. I'm hoping to get around to making a how-to for this. But with basic knowledge of how a relay operates (Google search), and wiring diagrams (see the "FAQs" page at the top of the Gen 1 Dakota section), it's really easy to do.
