Default thermometer sensor?

Anybody know where the sensor for the thermometer in the overhead console is located? I can't find that info in the sevice manual. All of a sudden, it's reading about 15 to 20 degrees high. It's a 96 3.9L 4wd.

This is what I found on the wiring diagrams. "Ambient air temperature sensor is located at the center of radiator closure panel." This sensor wires lead to the overhead console.

thanks again for the info! went home & took off the grill, pulled out the sensor. the pins inside were green with corrosion. cleaned them & coated them with vaseline. it's back to working perfectly!
