Wink My new TOYS!! 10,000Lbs Winch

Okay so today I installed my new skid plate. Next I went to 4wheel parts and went all out.

I bought a NEW Optima yellow top battery. I had my last one die about 6 months ago. So i bought another Optima craigslist special for $20. I knew it wouldn't last to long. So around 6 months it died.

Next I bought a winch. 8,000LB. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-W..._pn=S%2fB97281
They were out of stock so it should be here in a day or 2.

The last thing was from Checkers or I should say O'Reillys. A Bulldog Remote starter/ Alarm with key-less entry. My current one is dying. First the remote starter was not acting right. Next the door unlock wouldn't work. So it was time for another.

Edit: Here are pics of it installed.

I wish it was. But it is a great price!

I will go to Harbor freight and buy a hitch mount for the winch. That is why I made the front hitch by the way. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=66409

I bought 15ft of OO wire to power up the winch in the rear. I also already had 3 gauge wire run to the back for the small hidden winch I had.

Gusset the winch mount. Take it from personal experience. Its possible to rip it in half.

Sweet. Getting cooler all the time. Next youll have to rip off my plans I ripped off from someone else to build an on board air unit for under 150 bucks.

Yup it was. The reciever stayed where it was and the winch and half the mount didnt. It wasnt my setup, but I was the anchor for the event. I would gusset the mount from below off the reciever tube if they havent already. It was at a slight angle and just tore it in half.

Ill post up the process as soon as I get a chance to get to a pick and pull for the york compressor I need.

I thought you had a portable winch for the front already. You have the hidden one in the rear too, no?

Ya I have a portable one and the hidden one. But they are only rated 2,000lbs 3,000lbs. Not enough streanth to pull out me out if stuck. Mostly others will be stuck, not me.
