Default 1996 Dakota 2.5l Header

Well for once I am uber excited to be on here, I'm honestly like a fat kid in a candy store LMAO. I was looking for a header for my 1996 Dakota with a 2.5l because the one that was on there was cracked to hell. I was debating on spending $100 for the exhaust manifold, thought it was kinda high. Well doing some research I found not only is the engine made for a 1997 Wrangler (Yes the 2.5L 4 banger is a AMC motor) but so is the Exhaust Manifold and Down Pipe. The way I found that out is I called Walker Exhaust Systems looking for a down pipe and to my surprise "I'm sorry sir but we don't offer one for the 2.5l are you sure that is the motor you have?" Well last week someone came into the garage with a 1997 Wrangler with the 2.5L for a clutch and I thought to myself and started looking at the exhaust a little harder, well to my surprise the down pipe was the same on my 1st Gen. Well I know full headers are made for the chassis and not the motor well I figured I'd pick up a full header try to install it and if it didn't fit thats why they made craigslist right? Well I found a Dynomax header for a 1997 Wrangler for $124 SWEET, got it to the garage the other day and figured I'd pop it on at night while the bossman isn't around. Well put on the first part of the Header and it looked like I would have clearance issues from above, moved the truck into the air and I found I had 1-2" of clearance from the bottom of the header to the A-Frame, so for ****s and giggles I fired it up on just open header (OMG I WAS IN LOVE), turned it off and stated to pop the down pipe on. IT FIT FULLY! Well amost had to cut my stock down pipe and the header pipe just a bit. Drove it home on open pipes til the next morning when I could goto a muffler shop and have them weld everything together. The header pipe was 2 1/4" and I had a 2" pipe run before the cat and the parts stores were closed that's why I had to take it to a muffler shop. Well after they welded it and I got to hear the full exhaust it was love at first sound. Even the guys at the muffler shop and my boss were looking at me funny when they heard the header and pipe were made for a Wrangler and not my truck. But it's money well spent I'm happy got a deeper tone now with no cat, to a Flowmaster and my stack lol. I'll be making a video soon of the exhaust my stereo system, but I can't wait to really drive to today, the motor hasn't sounded this good since before the motor blew. No tick anymore WOOHOO!!!!!!

Cool! Let's see some pics. And post up a link of where you got your header so others can get it if wanted.
