Subnote:

94-95 Dakotas use a different fuel injector size; it's barely within tolerance, but that's worth noting.

92-93 injectors are 19#/hour, 94-95 injectors are 26#/hour. So if swapping between families, I'd also swap injectors.

Dunno about the RAMs, but I'd bet so also.

(Flow rates are from fiveohmotorsports.com by crossing the factory part numbers.)

Not without some seriously expensive equipment...... or, stuff it in another truck, and see what happens.

Before you condemn the ECU, try this.

1) Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.

2) Disconnect/reconnect the ECU connector, at least 4 cycles.

3) Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery.

See if this took care of the problem.

Plus, what IS the problem? People like to blame the ECU for all kinds of weird stuff.

Ralph, is there an external indication of what computer year/model the computer is from?

Didn't think of that I am just pondering a possible cause of low MPG's being a former owner changed the computer and didn't know about the injector difference.
