Found this while looking for the correct OE O2 sensor on my 94 dak

I have seen that before...... I believe it is stock size, but its two advantages seem to be 1. stainless, 2. mandrel bends.

 

I posted it because of the mandrel bends. I have the $45 Walker Y with the crinkle in it. There is a joint in the middle of the Y that I figured can be welded once it's fit and clamped.
Your post made me look at it again as the "stainless" did not register with me. The appearance is of carbon steel and the first review at the bottom complains that it is not stainless when he received it. He also says it did not fit without having to dent it on the passenger side and complains the bell was too small and he had to have it enlarged 1/4 inch at a shop. If that is all he needed he could have got it by tightening driving it and tightening it again while hot. I was just figuring it would be good for anyone looking to have a new Y with mandrel bends. The price I don't believe. Sure seems way high for bending pipes not even to direct fit. I could see it maybe if it was stainless and one piece but even then that's high.

 

In addition to the mandrel bends, it appears to be less restrictive in the y connection......
Here are my thoughts on future mods. What about using a set of shorty headers, cut the flange off. The collectors seem to be 2.5 in. Then have a exhaust bent in 2.5 stainless, use a slip connector at the collector end, and , run dual exhaust in 2.5 in . if possible. If not y back to a 3in and run a single 3 in exhaust.

That price is because it's for headers ...

Too bad they don't have one to fit 92/93 Dakotas with the larger manifolds and exhaust pipes, since Walker shows theirs to be NLA now.

Actually its for stock manifolds or their shorty headers, (along with everybody else who makes them)

But in addition to the early y not made anymore, I cant find anyone who makes the early manifolds.

Thats the reason I have been considering shorty headers, cut the flange off so you are back to a 2.5 collector, and then work from there.

Yes, it fits standard exhaust manifolds also.

The PRICE is because it fits their headers
